Participation

There are two ways to purchase data from the TravelScope®/DIRECTIONS® database:

Database Subscription
TravelScope®/DIRECTIONS® data are generally provided through an annual subscription. The subscription provides four types of volume projections for the subscriber's state or city, including household-trips, person-trips, person-days, and person-stays.  Subscribers receive data each quarter on CD-ROM as well as quarterly and annual data tables, if desired.

For an additional fee, TIA can append Claritas PRIZM® geo-demographic codes to the data. Subscribers who purchase the PRIZM® option are provided with PRIZM® data in their quarterly and annual data tables, PRIZM® fields in their database files, and an information book on PRIZM® clusters.  In addition, contacts at Claritas, the developers of the PRIZM® cluster system, are available for assistance for those who select this option.

TIA also supports the DIRECTABSsm software application for accessing TravelScope®/DIRECTIONS® data.  Included as part of the subscription package, this easy-to-use program allows users to access key statistics and cross-tabulations of demographics, activities, spending, and
much more.  Individualized training is included for subscribers.

TravelScope®/DIRECTIONS® subscribers will also be invited to participate in user meetings and other opportunities for training and communication with TIA and DKS&A personnel.

Custom Tabulations & Reports

Custom tabulations can also be generated from the TravelScope®/DIRECTIONS® database, and TIA can provide reports on these custom analyses. Some of the most commonly requested data segments are for particular types of travelers, for example leisure or business travelers, for particular geographies, such as individual states, designated market areas (DMAs) or larger metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs), or specific timeframes, such as summer travelers or overall trend analysis for the past five years.
