Travel Trade Barometer

The Travel Trade Barometer gathers qualitative and quantitative data from British, German, Canadian, and Mexican travel trade on bookings and projected bookings (3 to 6 months out) in an unbiased, reliable, and timely manner.  Since its inception in 2002, the Barometer's bookings estimates consistently match official U.S. arrival figures, but on a more timely basis.

The Barometer offers U.S. companies, destinations, and travel trade:

• Current bookings to the United States
• Projected bookings to the United States (3 and 6 months out)
• Destination-specific bookings and projected bookings that are comparable across destinations
• Descriptions of the motivators and deterrents for travel to the United States
• Analysis of the competitive position of the U.S. compared to other long-haul destinations
• Description of the most important travel trends (amusement/theme parks, city travel, family, etc.)
• Product awareness and perception assessment
• Disaster impact and monitoring
