What is TravelNewsLink?

TravelNewsLink is a free service offered by Travel Industry Association, the national organization that represents the entire $703 billion U.S. travel and tourism industry. TravelNewsLink is the only e-mail based system that links journalists seeking information for news stories with more than 2,000 travel industry organizations in the USA.

Here's how it works: A journalist or author sends an e-mail to TravelNewsLink detailing the specific information needed for a story on U.S. travel and tourism. TIA will then send their request to PR contacts at more than 2,000 travel organizations. Those who have the information the journalist needs respond to the journalist's e-mail address.

Here's why the news media loves TravelNewsLink

  • TravelNewsLink is fast. All requests go out as soon as possible (Monday-Friday). Responses start coming to the reporter within hours.

  • TravelNewsLink saves time. One e-mail accomplishes as much work as dozens of phone calls.

  • TravelNewsLink is a more effective way to communicate. The reporter determines how they want to receive the information: by phone, fax or e-mail--whatever is most convenient for the journalist. Reporters do not need to get intrusive phone calls or unsolicited faxes if they want to avoid them.

  • TravelNewsLink is pressure-free. Reporters only need to respond to public relations professionals who have the information they need.

  • TravelNewsLink is thorough. The TravelNewsLink network of spokespersons for more than 300 city visitors bureaus, 250 travel attractions, 200 major U.S. travel companies, 52 state and territorial tourism offices and 50 leading travel associations is comprehensive… and it's growing.

Important:
TravelNewsLink is a free service available to any working journalist or author anywhere in the world.

TravelNewsLink only includes spokespersons for USA travel organizations.
