International Buyer Registration
 

At TIA's International Pow Wow - the world's premiere Visit USA marketplace, you can meet with thousands of qualified U.S. Suppliers in one location, conduct business through a unique, pre-scheduled appointment system, develop valuable contacts during the day and enjoy the sights and sounds of the host city at night.

Registration is online! It's fast and easy to use.
If your organization attended International Pow Wow in 2007 you will receive login codes which will allow you access to submit your International Pow Wow 2008 registration online. You can update your contact and organization profile information, register delegates and submit payment - everything you need to do with the click of a few buttons.

**Note: You will NOT be able to cancel any item from your previous purchases without contacting TIA at intlreg@tia.org.

Pre-registration for International Pow Wow is closed; however, registrations are accepted and welcomed for U.S. Supplier delegates onsite at the Las Vegas Convention Center.  No onsite registrations will be accepted for buyers.
 
There is no spouse or family program, and no partial registration will be given for attendance at International Pow Wow social events.

Registration Hours and Location
The International Pow Wow Registration/Information Desk will be located in Hall C-1 of the Las Vegas Convention Center, and will be open the following hours:

Saturday, May 31:  8:00am – 5:30pm
Sunday, June 1:  8:00am – 5:30pm
Monday, June 2:  7:30am – 1:00pm
Tuesday, June 3:  8:00am – 1:00pm
Wednesday, June 4:  8:00am – 1:00pm

If your organization does not have login codes, please click here to submit the brief Login Request Form.  You will receive your login codes within 48 hours.

If your organization did NOT attend International Pow Wow in 2007 please review the Eligibility and Conditions for Acceptance below.  If you feel your organization qualifies, click on the link above to request Login Codes so that you may register online.

Eligibility and Conditions for Acceptance

Qualified buyers of USA  travel products and services are eligible to register for TIA's International Pow Wow by invitation only. The International Advisory Committee (IAC) Chairs for each of our 70+ participating countries send TIA's invitations to International Buyers. All registrations are subject to approval by the IAC Chairs and TIA.

There is no spouse or family program, and no partial registration will be given for attendance at International Pow Wow social events.


International Buyer Registration Fees
Each International Buyer delegate attending International Pow Wow must register and pay the registration fee. 

International Buyers

By February 4 $675
After February 4 $975

No registrations will be accepted onsite at International Pow Wow.

International Buyer Registration includes:

  • Up to 44 pre-scheduled appointments with Exhibitors;
  • Lodging at your assigned Host Hotel for five (5) nights, beginning Saturday, May 31 with check-out on Thursday, June 5, 2008 (room and tax only);
  • A discount on round trip airfare to Las Vegas (subject to availability);
  • Round trip airport/hotel transfers in Las Vegas and group ground transportation between function sites;
  • All meals and related functions which are an official part of International Pow Wow;
  • Las Vegas Sightseeing Tours and Post-Familiarization Tours; and
  • Year-long organization listing on powwowonline.com and online access to all U.S. Suppliers.

Payments and Cancellations
Full payment must accompany your registration. Payment should be made in U.S. dollars, drawn on a U.S. bank, or with one of the following credit cards: American Express, Diners Club, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa. Please make checks payable to: Travel Industry Association / Pow Wow.  If paying by check when registering online, select the button indicating payment by check.  Your registration will not be processed until your check is received by TIA.

In the event of cancellation, the registration fee will be refunded in full only if written cancellation notice is received in TIA's Washington, DC office by February 4, 2008. No refunds will be granted for registration cancellations received after March 12, 2008.

Accommodations
Lodging is provided at your assigned official International Pow Wow 2008 Host Hotel for five (5) nights, beginning Saturday, May 31 with check-out on Thursday, June 5, 2008 (room and tax only). Should you wish to arrive earlier or stay later, you will be responsible for the additional charges, at discounted rates (subject to availability). You are also responsible for any personal charges (telephone, room service, etc.) incurred during your entire stay.

TIA will make hotel reservations for international delegates by country. The IAC Chair for your country will inform you of your delegation's Host Hotel assignment. TIA cannot guarantee that we can accommodate hotel requests or changes to arrival and departure dates received after April 25, 2008.

Under no circumstances will delegates be allowed to stay at a hotel other than the Host Hotel assigned by TIA. Any delegate who stays in a hotel other than the one assigned will be responsible for his/her own room charges, and will be charged at the hotel's prevailing rate.

Transportation
Your IAC Chair will provide you instructions regarding contacting your local originating carrier for airline ticketing.

Ground transportation is provided in Las Vegas to your assigned Host Hotel on Friday, May 30, Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1. Check in at the International Pow Wow Welcome Booth at the airport before boarding your shuttle bus. Return service to the airport is provided on Thursday, June 5 only.

Official International Pow Wow shuttle buses will provide transportation between Host Hotels and the Las Vegas Convention Center as well as from the Host Hotels to the official evening events. Shuttle bus schedules will be provided in the official program and will be posted in the Host Hotels lobbies.

Delegates seeking transportation to other sites, hotels or International Pow Wow functions at times other than official hours or posted shuttle schedule times must make and pay for their own arrangements.

Appointment Scheduling
In March 2008, registered International Buyers will be notified when the Online Appointment Scheduling is available to search for and request appointments with Exhibitors. Your registration will not be considered valid if you do not submit Appointment Requests to TIA on or before April 11, 2008.

As a condition of acceptance of your registration, you must agree to keep your pre-scheduled appointments. TIA and the U.S. travel industry make a large investment to host you at International Pow Wow and in return we ask that you make every effort to honor your pre-scheduled and onsite commitments. Future attendance at International Pow Wow will be denied to those International Buyers who consistently cancel, "no show" or do not attend their appointments.

Due to the availability of numerous appointment scheduling opportunities such as powwowonline.com, the Monday morning Appointment Scheduling Session and the onsite Message Centers, refunds are not issued to buyers who do not receive pre-scheduled appointments.
