Gail Alofsin Authentic Measurable Performance
Gail is a professional speaker, seminar leader, university professor, sales and marketing consultant and president of Authentic Measurable Performance (AMP). Over the past two decades, Gail's range of sales, marketing, public relations, customer service and leadership experience is extraordinary; with extensive experience in retail, hotel/resort, restaurant/catering, events/sponsorships, non profit, meeting planning and hospitality industries. Tom is a career tourism professional. He was Director of Operations and Finance for Ontario Place Corporation, a major theme park in Toronto, where he managed a staff of over 1,000 people involved in food service, retail sales, attractions, concessions management, finance, capital development, and corporate sponsorship. For eight years, he was a management consultant specializing in tourism. His clients included resorts, attractions, and destination marketing organizations. His consulting focus was in market research, tourism development and tourism marketing strategies, financial analysis, and accountability research. At Longwoods, Tom's project work has included advertising evaluation, accountability research, strategic marketing research and visitor tracking programs for a range of clients including: Ohio, Maine, Oregon, Washington, North Dakota and West Virginia.

Christopher Elliott is a journalist and consumer advocate. His articles, columns and essays offer advice for people who want to become more informed travelers. Chris is National Geographic Traveler's ombudsman, a nationally syndicated columnist through Tribune Media Services, and a commentator and independent producer for public radio. He's also the host of "What You Get For The Money: Vacations" on the Fine Living network. Most of Chris's career has been spent as an independent journalist. Charged with branding Arizona on a global scale, positioning Arizona as a premier leisure travel destination and bringing new dollars into the state, Margie A. Emmermann has served as the Director of the Arizona Office of Tourism (AOT) for more than five years. Building on the above mentioned responsibilities, Margie has expanded the volume of travel activity and related expenditures in Arizona through tourism promotion and development and has enhanced the economy and quality of life for all Arizonans. With Margie's leadership, Arizona's tourism industry saw a record 31 million visitors in 2005, spending $17.5 billion. Before joining AOT, Margie served as the Director of the Arizona Department of Commerce and served two Arizona governors as the Policy Advisor for Mexico. Margie also served as Vice President and Manager of Hispanic Marketing/Community Relations for Bank of America and held key management positions in Marketing and Strategic Planning for US WEST Communications, for a combined twenty-one year career in the private sector.

Veronica Stoddart is USA TODAY's Deputy Managing Editor for Travel. Previously, she was founding editor of Caribbean Travel & Life magazine, which she edited for 10 years. She has worked as a contract editor for the National Geographic Society, as travel editor of Americas magazine, and has contributed to numerous publications during 25 years in travel journalism. She has received the Marcia Vickery-Wallace Award for Excellence in Travel Journalism, the Westin Award from the North American Travel Journalists Association, and seven Lowell Thomas Awards from the Society of American Travel Writers. She is a graduate of Wellesley College.

Jerry Swerling USC Annenberg School of Journalism
Jerry Swerling has more than 30 years of experience as a senior-level communications professional and educator. Today he serves in two capacities. He serves as Director of Public Relations Studies at the USC Annenberg School of Journalism. At USC he is responsible for the management of both the undergraduate and graduate programs in public relations, and he also serves as Director of the USC Annenberg Strategic Public Relations Center, the mission of which is to conduct applied research aimed at advancing the study, practice and value of PR. Jerry is also the Principal of Swerling & Associates, a consultancy he formed in 1996 that specializes in the management of agency reviews, the optimization of agency/client relationships, the evaluation of communications programs and the resolution of PR organizational issues.

Matt Turner Office of Governor Joe Manchin III, West Virginia
Matt Turner became press secretary for West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin in February 2007 after working eight years in media relations for the West Virginia Division of Tourism. While at the Division of Tourism, he was president of the Mid-Atlantic Tourism Public Relations Alliance and he served on the communications council for the Southeast Tourism Society. Turner also has worked in corporate public affairs in the manufacturing and public utilities industries, and he spent five summers in the woods as a state park naturalist while an undergraduate. Matt received bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism from Marshall University.
