Barbara Logan - Vice President, Meeting and Event Services

Barbara Logan joined TIA in March 2000 as Director, Meeting and Event Services.  She was promoted to Vice President, Meeting and Event Services in May 2005.

In her position, Ms. Logan is responsible for a department that plans and manages logistical operations for all TIA meetings and events including the State of the Industry Luncheon, the Marketing Outlook Forum, the Educational Seminar for Tourism Organizations (ESTO), TIA Board of Directors meetings and International Pow Wow, TIA's international marketplace for US travel and tourism.

Ms. Logan has more than 20 years of conference and exhibit management experience for non-profit associations and private sector companies.  Prior to joining TIA, she served as Vice President of United Information Systems, Inc. (UIS) a health and information technology consulting firm in Bethesda, MD where she led the meetings, graphics and editorial departments and managed large scale projects for clients that included the U.S. Army, the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Highways.  Before joining UIS, Ms. Logan was Vice President of Conference Services for Prospect Associates, Ltd. located in Rockville, MD. While there, she managed a department of 12 meeting planners and was responsible for up to 150 meetings per year for clients that included various institutes of the National Institutes of Health, the Office of the Secretary of Health, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. She began her meeting career with the Direct Marketing Association in Washington, DC.

Ms. Logan graduated from the University of Maryland School of Radiologic Technology. She resides in Silver Spring, MD.
