Hundreds of Travel Leaders To Convene in D.C. For Passage of Travel Promotion Act
The 3rd Annual Travel Leadership Summit will draw hundreds of travel leaders from across the nation who will advocate for passage of the Travel Promotion Act and other priority issues for the industry. Representatives from more than 27 states are planning to convene in Washington on September 24 and 25 to meet with their Congressional representatives and get briefed on the latest developments on the industry's legislative priorities. Plus, as the presidential campaigns heat up, the travel leaders will also hear an inside the beltway point of view on the upcoming election from Chris Matthews, MSNBC's host of "Hardball with Chris Matthews". A former newspaper bureau chief and Presidential speechwriter, Matthews has covered American presidential campaigns since 1988.
The 2008 Summit's general session will be held just three blocks from the Capitol Building at the Washington Court Hotel, 525 New Jersey Avenue, NW.
In this presidential election year, the Travel Leadership Summit is more important than ever and promises to attract even more participation and attention.
