Beta Launch: April 2008

We are pleased to announce that TIA in partnership with the Department of Commerce has launched the first of six websites designed to increase inbound travel to the United States. DiscoverAmerica.com now serves as the first-ever Official Travel and Tourism Website of the U.S.
The Canadian (English) version of the website is now live and in beta mode and can be viewed by going to www.discoveramerica.com. Additional sites will be launched into beta mode over the next few weeks.
DiscoverAmerica.com will be available in English, French, Japanese, Spanish and German and will serve the five leading inbound international markets (Canada, Mexico, the UK, Japan and Germany).
The sites will be officially launched in the UK, Germany and Japan in mid-May, and in Canada and Mexico in June.

Background
TIA entered into a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce in February of 2007 to design, develop and market the first ever "official travel and tourism website of the United States" to the U.S.' top five international inbound markets: UK, Japan, Canada, Germany and Mexico.
