 MERCURY AWARDS

The mission of the NCSTD is to leverage the collective strength of state tourism offices to influence public policy, and to provide leadership and the forum for information sharing and education on issues impacting tourism.     _______________________________________

Rewarding Excellence in State Tourism Marketing

The NCSTD Mercury Awards are exclusivley for state and territory tourism offices.  They were created in 1985 by TIA's National Council of State Tourism Directors (NCSTD) to:

  • inspire, by showcasing outstanding work, the continued development of imaginative and exciting marketing and promotion programs.

Mercury Award entries are solicited in the spring (between March and May) and winners are announced and recognized at the Annual Awards Banquet held during the Educational Seminar for Tourism Organizations (ESTO).  ESTO 2008 will be held August 23-26 in Bonita Springs, Florida.

For more information about the Mercury Awards, please view the entry guidelines or contact the National Councils Department at 202-408-8422.
